Implants

Implants are one of the most popular ways to fill gaps in natural teeth. The implant, i.e. the new root, is inserted in place of the removed tooth. It is a small screw, usually 2.8 to 6 mm in diameter and 5 to 22 mm long. The artificial element replaces the natural root of the tooth. It is placed in the jawbone or jawbone.

The implant is made of titanium, which is very well tolerated by the body. Thanks to this, the implant is very quickly integrated into the bone. Filling in the teeth with implants ensures complete comfort of use. Implants replace natural teeth, so the feelings when eating meals or drinking beverages are identical.

Indications for use of implants

Implants can be used to replace a missing, single tooth, several teeth and the entire dental jaw. Implantation of two implants can be used as a support for bridges or complete dentures.

The course of treatment

During the first visit, the dentist and the patient determine the implantation conditions and treatment plan. During the second visit, the implant is inserted. The procedure involves making holes in the bone and inserting titanium screws. Depending on the number of inserted implants, it usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, making it completely painless for the patient. After 2-6 months, prosthetic reconstruction can be performed on the healed implant.
